RMC Anesthesia Interest Group (RMC AIG)
The purposes of this organization shall be:
• To promote interest and support of graduate Anesthesiology research experiences.
• Provide internal/external presentation opportunities for medical students interested in Anesthesiology.
• Provide career development and networking opportunities for medical students interested in Anesthesia.
• Mentoring and guidance to medical students seeking shadowing opportunities in the field of anesthesia.

RMC Emergency Medicine
The Regional Medical Campus Emergency Medicine Interest Group is an organization
dedicated to providing students with opportunities for education, experience, and
mentorship in the field of emergency medicine. We accomplish this through a variety of
projects and events that allow students to interact with both patients and physicians in
Palm Beach County.

RMC Internal Medicine
The objectives of RMC-IMIG are as follows:
To foster student awareness, interest, and professional growth in Internal Medicine and its subspecialties by: Offering students a series of interactive learning sessions with internal medicine faculty and residents, especially those with public health interests; Linking students at the Miami Campus to internal medicine resources at the Regional Campus and vice versa; Establishing an environment that cultivates the social, moral, and ethical obligations of the medical profession.

RMC Medic-OUT
The purpose of RMCMedicOUT is to create a safe space for LGBTQIA+ visibility and
awareness, as well as promote advocacy for gender and sexual (GSM) minority individuals.

RMC OBGYN
The purpose of OB/GYN Interest Group is to promote interest and provide information about the field of obstetrics and gynecology. Our aims are to:
● Promote education about women’s health
● Inform students about opportunities within the OB/GYN department
● Provide students resources for success in the OB/GYN clerkship
● Encourage interaction between students at different stages of training
● Teach concepts related to women’s health maintenance & disease prevention
● Provide students information about a career in OB/GYN
● Serve the community through volunteer projects

RMC Psychiatry
RMC PsychSIG believes that mental health is a fundamental part of general well-being,
and an understanding of its principles should underlie all aspects of medical care, education, and policy. By working to connect students, interest groups, psychiatry faculty, and area psychiatrists to the mental health care needs in the community, we hope to promote a heightened involvement and immediacy in psychiatry at each of these levels.

RMC Surgery
The purpose of ​Surgical Interest Group​ is to . . . . .
Provide a support group and community for students considering a career in surgery;
Provide opportunities for students to form productive relationships with other students
and members in the field of surgery and surgical specialties;
Provide a forum for communication and accurate information exchange between
students, residents, and faculty members on topics pertinent to a career in surgery;
Provide a network for collaboration on projects and volunteer and service activities at
the main and regional campuses of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
Provide activities, assistance, and opportunities specifically for 3- and 4-year medical
students, given the more advanced and specific interests that upperclassmen have. Provide 1st and 2nd year students at the Main Medical Campus information regarding the ​ opportunities they will have 3​rd and 4​th year at the Regional Medical Campus.

RMC Women in Medicine
The Regional Medical Campus Women in Medicine is an organization dedicated to supporting the academic, professional, and personal pursuits of women within the field of medicine. We do so through events, mentorship, and community engagement, in Palm Beach county and throughout South Florida. RMC WiM welcomes all students to participate in our events, including a Women in Medicine Panel, student-faculty mentorship program, networking mixers, round table discussions, and journal clubs.
